I created VelocityHR because I believe small businesses deserve the same quality of HR support that larger organizations take for granted.

I work with small to mid-sized business owners who are doing their best to build something great but find themselves navigating people challenges they were never trained to handle. My goal is not to overwhelm you with HR theory or bury you in policies you will never read. My goal is to understand your business, tell you what you actually need, and help you get there.

After more than a decade in HR across industries and states, including agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, and professional services, I saw firsthand what happens when HR is treated as a checkbox rather than a function that genuinely supports a business. I also saw what was possible when HR was taken seriously, when a business owner had someone in their corner who would tell them the truth, help them make sound decisions, and build the kind of workplace where people actually wanted to show up. I also bring advanced proficiency in AI to my work, using it as a professional tool to deliver better results for my clients.

The best HR work rarely happens in a crisis. It happens in the everyday conversations, decisions, and relationships that shape a workplace over time. My role is to help you navigate those moments with confidence, clarity, and practical guidance.

When you bring me a problem, I address it directly and honestly. And when I see something you have not asked about yet, I am going to tell you anyway. That is part of what you are hiring me for. You should not have to know the right questions to ask in order to get the right answers.
